Miia Hakio is an experienced and passionate Marketing Manager here at Marketigation, whose ambition is to help businesses build their brand and improve their visibility online. Driven by her determination, motivation and love for what she does, Miia takes pride in providing quality social media marketing strategy and advice and has a proven record of going above and beyond for her clients.

When Covid-19 brought the world to a standstill with many businesses closing, Miia looked for new opportunities to help bring a little certainty back to businesses, where she became Hanna’s right hand in expanding Marketigation. Together, Miia and Hanna have worked closely on clients in Australia, as well as, the expansion of Marketigation into Finland. The Marketigation team is really excited about this new journey overseas, and have already made connections with potential clients in Finland.

The Journey to being Marketing Manager at Marketigation

Miia grew up in a small town called Hämeenlinna, approximately 100km North of Finland’s capital, Helsinki. She has two sisters, including Hanna. Miia loves to travel and has lived abroad in two other countries, the Philippines and Germany. She currently resides in Hämeenlinna and regularly commutes to Helsinki where she works her second job.

Since joining the Marketigation team in March, Miia has become an integral part of the digital marketing team, handling new business in Finland, as well as assisting with the coordination of projects in Australia. Miia brings over 20 years’ experience to her new role of Marketing Manager, with an incredible passion for learning and creating new things. Miia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management, a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, as well as a post-graduate studies in Human Resource Management and Services. Furthermore, she is also experienced in marketing and business. As well as working with Marketigation, Miia also works as a Manager of Meetings and Events at a Convention and Expo Centre in Helsinki.

Anyone who knows Miia, knows that she absolutely loves what she does! She says that she has made her life exactly the way she wants it to be – and couldn’t be happier. In her spare time, Miia enjoys reading, cooking and drinking quality wines. However, her main passion lies with dancing, such as Salsa, Bachata and other Afro-Cuban dance styles. Miia was recently presented with an exciting opportunity to partake in Dancing with the stars (Finland), where she partnered Anssi.
