We are pleased to introduce our new Marketing Specialist. Lisa joined our team at Marketigation in 2023, after relocating from Brisbane to Townsville. She has a wealth of knowledge in digital marketing. Her experience includes social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, website content management and optimisation, SEO and marketing strategy.
Tell us a bit about yourself...
I’m originally from Germany. I was born and bred in the Bavarian town of Nuremberg, which is also home to beers and pretzels. I had just started a career in banking when I met the love of my life on a holiday. A North Queensland farm boy from Ingham. In 2014, we decided to migrate from Germany to Townsville. However, after only one year in the tropical North we relocated to Brisbane for a change of scenery and career. At the University of Queensland, I studied a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management, majoring in tourism and marketing.
During the past eight years in Brisbane, I was able to gain extensive experience and built a broad marketing skillset. I worked for various tourism operators and local and State Government (TEQ) in marketing roles.
Which part of marketing do you enjoy the most?
I’m very passionate about marketing in general. I’m quite analytical and have a love for numbers. I thoroughly enjoy creating marketing strategies to help companies achieve their business goals. It gives me great satisfaction when a campaign comes to an end and it results in great success for the client. For example, when we run social media campaigns, and we can see an increase in website clicks. Apart from that, I also enjoy designing. At Marketigation, I found a new love for web design and thoroughly enjoy creating content and building websites.
Why did you decide to work for Marketigation?
My whole career is more or less in tourism. When moving back to Townsville in 2023, I decided that this was a great opportunity to move away from the tourism industry and further my marketing expertise more holistically rather than industry-specific. Working for a small marketing agency such as Marketigation allows me to dip into other industries and being able to be involved in a variety of marketing activities.
What are your responsibilities at Marketigation?
At Marketigation, I have an array of responsibilities. My day to day tasks include content creation, website design and maintenance, SEO, social media marketing and creating marketing strategies.
